Each category below still runs on its own clock, its own price, and its own protocol — the driver session still opens on length and stiffness, the iron session still starts with lie angle. What's changed is you can read the whole menu before booking.
Driver · 90 minutes · $145
Off-the-rack drivers have grown to around 45.5 inches because longer shafts test faster in a machine, not because longer suits your swing. A large share of golfers here leave an inch to an inch and a half shorter and hit it further, because centre contact beats theoretical clubhead speed. Stiffness bought socially — matching a playing partner's flex rather than your own transition — is the second most common fix.
Irons · 90 minutes · $165
The most requested session on the board. An iron sitting toe-up at impact pulls the ball left; toe-down pushes it right, and four degrees of error is enough to move a shot a dozen yards offline with a perfectly good swing. Lie adjustment reads off a sole board across enough swings that one fat shot doesn't decide the answer, and it's included in the session fee rather than billed afterward per club.
Fairway Wood · 60 minutes · $115
The only club in the bag routinely swung at full speed off the deck, which makes sole design a first-order decision rather than a detail. Overseeded winter turf in the Lowcountry is soft and forgiving; August Bermuda is baked and unforgiving, and a wood that was perfect in March can suddenly dig and run into a hazard in August. We test on both a normal mat and a tight strip.
Hybrid & Gap Club · 60 minutes · $115
Less about which hybrid to buy than answering how many clubs actually belong in the middle of your bag. Before looking at a single head, we map what you carry from your longest reliable iron up to your shortest wood — almost always revealing either a thirty-yard hole nobody noticed, or two clubs sitting eight yards apart doing the same job.
Wedge · 75 minutes · $135
Modern iron sets have gotten stronger for twenty years — a pitching wedge stamped "P" is frequently 43 or 44 degrees today versus 48 in the nineties, while the sand wedge in the bag is still 56. That twelve-degree hole shows up as the three-quarter shot that either flies the green or comes up short. Filling that gap correctly is the most common outcome of this session.
Putter · 60 minutes · $110
Run on a real green surface, not a strip of carpet. Stock putters come at 34 or 35 inches, a length standardized for a tall adult male and applied to everyone since — a large share of the golfers we fit, particularly women and anyone under about five foot six, end up between 31 and 33 inches. Cutting an inch off is a fifteen-minute job and occasionally the most valuable thing that happens in a session.
