No exclusives, no quotas, no favourites
We are an independent bench. Nothing on the sample wall is there because a rep bought lunch, and no manufacturer has a number we are obliged to hit by the end of a quarter.
Why we do not publish a brand list
Studios that print a row of manufacturer logos are usually telling you something about their purchasing agreements rather than their fitting. We deliberately do not do that, for two reasons.
The first is practical. Model lines turn over every twelve to eighteen months, and a page of logos goes stale faster than we can update it. The second is that it invites the wrong question. Golfers arrive asking whether we carry a particular badge, when the useful question is whether we can get the specification their swing needs. The answer to the second question is almost always yes, regardless of what is printed on the sole.
How the wall is organised
Shafts hang by weight class first and stiffness profile second, brand nowhere. It reads oddly to visitors and it makes a session much faster, because a fitting conversation is really about grams and bend behaviour, not logos.
What we stock deeply
- Light and ultralight shafts. The 38g to 60g band gets far more shelf space here than at a typical studio, because a large share of our clients are seniors, juniors, and women for whom stock offerings run too heavy.
- Grip sizes and build-up materials. Undersize through two wraps oversize, in several cord and rubber compounds, because Charleston humidity ruins a grip choice that only worked in a dry room.
- Wedge grinds. Bounce and sole shaping for soft turf and for the tight, sandy lies you get on the barrier islands are two different problems and we keep both.
- Junior-length components. Genuine junior shafts rather than adult shafts cut short, which is the shortcut most shops take and the reason most junior sets swing badly.
- Putter head weights and counterweights. Cheap to test, quietly transformative, and rarely offered anywhere in town.
Special orders
If a session points at something we do not have, we order the sample rather than steer you to a near-miss. That usually adds a week and a follow-up visit, which is free. Roughly one session in seven ends this way, and it is the reason the sample wall keeps growing.
On your existing clubs
Plenty of sessions end with a recommendation to keep what you own. A ten-year-old set of forged irons with the right shaft in it is a better club than a new set with the wrong one, and we will say so even though it means a smaller invoice.
Where the head is fine and the shaft is not, a reshaft is usually a third the cost of replacement. Where the shaft is fine and only the length or lie is off, the bench work runs less than a hundred dollars for a full set. Those two outcomes together account for a large share of what leaves the build room.
Warranty and sourcing
Everything we sell is bought through authorised channels and carries the manufacturer's standard warranty, handled through us rather than left to you. We do not source grey-market components, and we will not build with a shaft a client brings in from an unverified seller — counterfeit shafts are common enough now that we are not willing to put our name on the epoxy.
